"Advanced" program of cooperation with NATO signed in Kiev
The Government of Ukraine approved an updated annual national program of cooperation with NATO, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported on February 5. According to the published information, the document for the Alliance in Kiev was developed according to the international methodology Results-Based Management, which is used in the preparation of strategic documents in NATO countries, the World Bank and the United Nations. The annual national programme includes both security and defence sector reforms and democratic reforms in the country. It is as close as possible in content and principles to the Action Plan on NATO membership and has the same structure, Prime Minister of Ukraine Alexey Goncharuk said. The news agency recalls that on the eve of February 4, at NATO headquarters in Brussels, representatives of the Alliance, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and the armed forces of Ukraine met, during which the parties discussed priorities of key reforms in the Ukrainian security and defense sector.
