Bulgaria introduced emergency regime due to threat of coronavirus spread
The coronavirus emergency regime was introduced in Bulgaria. This was reported by the Government press service on 14 March. The proposal to introduce a regime of emergency situations in the country was put forward by the Government of the country and unanimously supported by the deputies of the Parliament of Bulgaria. The emergency regime will operate for a month, from 13 March to 13 April. As Prime Minister Boyko Borisov explained, presenting the government's initiative in Parliament, the emergency regime is aimed at unddisciplined people who can contribute to the spread of the disease. The Head of the National Operational Headquarters for the Fight against the Spread of Coronavirus, Wencislav Mutafciyski, explained that the main task of the emergency regime is to limit the spread of the disease in the country as much as possible. The epidemiological situation in the country is deteriorating very quickly and it is necessary to act quickly, without half solutions. Under the emergency regime, the movement and communication of citizens will be restricted, and sanctions will be imposed for non-compliance with the quarantine regime.
