Embassy of Afghanistan highly appreciated humanitarian assistance to Iran
On 17 April, the Afghan Embassy in Tehran thanked Iran's Kerman Province Bureau for Foreigners and Foreign Immigrants (BAFIA) for providing humanitarian aid to Afghan citizens amid the spread of the coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA. The Deputy Governor of Kerman Province for Political Affairs, Mohammad Sadek Basiri, told IRNA journalists that the Afghan Embassy, in its message, expressed gratitude for the distribution of humanitarian assistance to Afghan citizens against the background of the fight against coronavirus. According to him, 5,000 Afghan citizens living in Kerman Province have been identified as groups of needy and very needy, with some hygiene assistance already provided and food funds distributed in the future. The Afghan Embassy also called on charitable and other organizations to distribute medical care packages to needy Afghans living in Iran, Basiri said.
