Coronavirus in Italy: authorities exhume the bodies of 18 dead
The prosecutor's office of the Italian region Reggio Emilia approved the decision to exhume and subsequently re-open the bodies of 18 senior citizens who were infected with coronavirus and died in a local nursing home in the spring of 2020, regional media reported on Tuesday, June 23. It is noted that a criminal case has been opened, five people are suspected. The prosecutor's office suspects that manslaughter took place, as well as, possibly, a manslaughter crime against public health.
