Moscow received official notification of Minsk on the detention of 32 citizens of the Russian Federation

Official notification of the detention in Minsk of a group of Russian citizens was received by the Russian Embassy in Belarus, the press service of the Russian diplomatic mission reported on July 29. The embassy received an official notification of the detention of 32 Russian citizens in the republic from the main consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, the embassy said. As previously reported by the news agency, the Belarusian side claims to have detained a group of Russian citizens in Minsk, some of whom took part in the war in the Donbass. In Belarus, these people, military personnel of the PMC Wagner, were suspected of plans to destabilize the situation, as the Belarusian media say. Authorities say the detainees are being interrogated.
