There are no discussions in the Kremlin about the proposal to move the Day of Russia

In the Kremlin discuss new initiatives on the transfer of the celebration of Russia Day from June 12 to July 1 -- the main day of voting on amendments to the Constitution, said press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov. Earlier this idea was put forward by a member of the Public chamber Irina Volynets. She believes that June 12 is associated the Russians with the collapse of the Soviet Union, not independence.
