US Health Minister to visit Taiwan for the first time in history

It is noted that this is the first trip of the Minister of Health to the island in US history. Hazard will also be the first such high representative of Washington to visit Taiwan since 1979. A whole delegation will arrive from Washington to the island, which, in addition to Hazard, will include officials and experts from the United States Department of Health. The historic visit of Minister Azar will strengthen the partnership between the United States and Taiwan, as well as expand cooperation between the United States and Taiwan in the fight against the pandemic, COVID-19 the agency notes. Also, the head of the American Ministry of Health will hold talks with representatives of the island's authorities. According to the news agency, on July 14, China condemned the possible sale of United States weapons to Taiwan. The Chinese Foreign Ministry said it did not exclude the imposition of sanctions against the American company Lockheed Martin.
