In Ukraine, promised to block the social network VKontakte


The Russian social network VKontakte will be blocked in Ukraine, promised in the apparatus of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC). This was reported on September 22 by the Ukrinform news agency, citing the official response of the department. The document says that residents of Ukraine gained access to a banned social network due to a change in proxy servers, which allowed bypassing the blocking. The NSDC promised to take measures to completely block VKontakte in Ukraine. For this, Ukrainian cybersecurity specialists have already turned to foreign partners. According to the news agency, earlier the government of Ukraine announced its intention to appeal to the owners of the largest online app stores with a request to remove the VKontakte mobile application from public access.
