The creators of the horror games Amnesia posted on the network their source code

The developers of the popular games The Dark Descent and A Machine for Pigs from the Amnesia series posted their source code on the network. This was announced on September 23 by PC Gamer magazine. Thus, the Frictional Games studio decided to celebrate the decade of the release of The Dark Descent. Now any enthusiast will have the opportunity to edit the code of the games, release various modifications to them, including paid ones. However, in this case, the developer, in accordance with the terms of the license, will also have to open the source code of its software. It is worth noting that since the release of Amnesia: The Dark Descent, which took place on September 8, 2010, more than 1 thousand modifications of the game have accumulated in the catalog of vervis ModDB. Frictional Games is currently working on Amnesia: Rebirth, which is scheduled for release on October 20, 2020.
